This section of the Nipmuck Trail, one of the classic trunk-line trails of the Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA) blue trail system, dishes up one of the best and closest river walks in the state. It runs between Mansfield Hollow State Park and Gurleyville Grist Mill. The trail twice crosses repurposed steel bridges and tops 50-Foot Cliff for a survey of the forest-and-swamp mosaic of the immediate neighborhood.
