Few long-distance trails can match the nonstop visual excitement of this short trail. Its serial waterfalls turn a simple, less than half-mile trail into a party for the eyes. Stepped cascades, horsetail plummets, chutes, a 30-foot waterfall, plunge pools, potholes, and picturesque tannin waters transfix the eyes as you travel through dark woods of eastern hemlock, oak, and maple. The mossy ledges and canyon rock fashion an attractive stage for the water show. A truncated woods road parallel to Enders Brook is the gateway trail to this watery attraction. Side spurs descend from it to each of the serial cascades and falls on the brook’s speedy descent. Footpaths closer to shore likewise stitch together the spurs, but be careful on this brook-hugging thread during wet and icy conditions. Roots and rocks can steal footing.
