The Geiger Lakes are definitely two of the more discovered spots in the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. Easy access, good fishing, good camping, and nice scenery—it all adds up to lots of hikers. But here’s a little secret for you and your pup, a chance for the two of you to enjoy this area without encountering a lot of fellow trail users. The majority of hikers come to this area via Geiger Lakes Trail 656. Very few take to the Fourth of July Creek Trail 115.
