For lovers of towering granite peaks and rock-gouging glaciers, this is a particularly scenic hike high into British Columbia’s Valhalla Provincial Park. Hikers must see this place to believe it—124,000 acres with no roads and only six trails penetrating into the boundaries. This is grizzly country and no pets are allowed. This alpine lake is above timberline and clearcuts and holds trout known to rise to a Royal Wulff or Black Gnat. Around the west or left side of Drinnon Lake the trail wanders, climbing somewhat to Drinnon Pass. A few small alpine tarns and campsites exist around the pass area and excellent vistas of the peaks behind Gwillim Lakes and Gregorio Peak to the west invite the mountaineer. This is some of the best scenery in North America. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
