The Campaign Creek Loop hike follows trails in the eastern Superstition Mountains, the highest section of the range. Hikers familiar with the Sonoran desert in the western Superstition Mountains will be surprised to find stands of ponderosa pine tucked away in the eastern section. Other attractions include a historic ranch site and an optional side hike to Mound Mountain, the highest summit in the Superstition Mountains. The road to the Campaign Trailhead receives little maintenance, and may be impassable during or after a major storm. Maximum group size 15 persons and maximum stay limit of 14 days.
