This excellent loop trip goes through remote sections of the Grand Canyon. Highlights include the deep Redwall limestone gorges of Jumpup and Kanab Canyons, an enjoyable cross-country hike along the Colorado River, and Deer Creek Falls. There’s an optional side hike to Thunder River, which bursts suddenly out of a cave. Kanab Canyon features several side canyons with grottos and seasonal waterfalls, and one of the most unusual springs in the Grand Canyon.
