A dramatic peak with a sheer east face that drops thousands of feet from the summit to the talus below. It’s a long hike, and for that reason, it’s never crowded. The ascent of Mount Tyndall is a real workout, with more than 8,000 feet of vertical gain and a 15-mile hike to the peak. The climb of Tyndall is often combined with a climb of Mount Williamson on successive days.
