Moderate snow climbing and mixed scrambling, making for an enjoyable and varied day. Dade is a member of the striking trio of Mount Mills, Mount Abbot, and Mount Dade. Mount Dade is the southernmost of the adjoining peaks of Mills, Abbot, and Dade. Its distinctive feature is the couloir (gully) known as the Hourglass, named for its upper and lower flare and middle taper.
