Silver Creek supports the theory that the splendor of a Native American ruin is equal to the effort required to reach it. This place is much easier to get to than Squaw Creek or Perry Tank Canyon, but you won’t find any rock art when you get there. The site, however, is still worth seeing. Called Pueblo La Plata because of its location on the south rim of Silver Creek, it probably has more rooms than the average person is willing to count. According to scientific literature, the pueblo originally had 120 to 160 rooms.
