This is a wonderful little hike to the top of Flagg Mountain, the last mountain in the Appalachian Range over 1,000 feet. As you near the top, the views of the surrounding mountains and valleys are spectacular. The highlight of the trip is Flagg Mountain Tower, with views of several counties and, on a clear day, Cheaha Mountain on the horizon. Trail surface: Hard-packed clay, gravel, and rock Forest Service road.
