Similar in setting to other nearby springs, this site offers additional bathing opportunities, with quite a variance in temperatures. The hot creek is only a few miles from Springs 9 and 10, and all can easily be visited in a day. The bright green oasis formed by the springs in this area is an abrupt change from the stark, drab surrounding desert. Several pools have been formed by individuals building dams in the creek where hot water emerges from the ground. These pools vary in depth and temperature, ranging from 90 to 105 degrees F. Many of the springs offer a natural hydrotherapy as the hot creek water flows through the ponds. Located on BLM land, the springs site is open to camping—be sure to camp a fair distance from the creek and pack out whatever you pack in. Do not wash dishes, or yourself, in the creek.
