A hike on a little-used, historic trail to the Mogollon Rim. The historic Walker Basin Trail, built to move stock between summer and winter pastures, starts out as an old, closed road, wandering northeast through juniper forest toward a low ridge visible ahead. It climbs this gentle ridge along its crest, and the views start to open up.
