A cool, shady hike through ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest to the east rim of Oak Creek canyon. Originally built by the early settlers as a route to move their cattle to and from the plateau above, the Harding Springs Trail is still in good shape. The dense, cool forest offers welcome shade, so this is a good hike for a hot day.
