An easy, scenic hike near Oak Creek in Red Rock State Park. There are good views of Oak Creek and its lush habitat of Fremont cottonwood trees and other riparian vegetation. A side trail goes to the House of Apache Fire, which was built by Jack and Helen Fry in 1946. They named their vacation retreat house for the smoke from the campfires of the Yavapai Apache they employed in the construction.
