A hike on a seldom-used, easier trail to the summit of Bill Williams Mountain. The Bixler Saddle Trail starts up the gentle ridge to the northeast then follows a minor drainage through cool fir forest. There are close views of some impressive rock formations. After reaching a saddle, it traverses the west slopes of Bill Williams Mountain through open pine-oak forest with great views.
