An easy walk to a historic site in Great Basin National Park. This area may be closed due to a large wildfire. Check with Great Basin National Park before planning this hikeFrom the trailhead, walk back down the road a few yards to an old, closed jeep trail that climbs the hill to the right (south). Follow this road up the hillside, through an aspen grove, and up a switchback. At a junction, turn left (east) and follow the old road up to the abandoned Osceola Ditch, which is the destination for this easy hike. This vantage point has fine views of Strawberry Valley. You can also see the route of the Osceola Ditch at the head of the valley. If desired, you can follow the old road east along the route of the ditch for several miles.
