Enjoy this upside-down hike across grassland and knolls to an overlook into Clear Creek Canyon. The trail loses elevation to the overlook, with one climb up to a rocky outlook on the way. Aptly named, Centennial Cone has long been a landmark on the way to hunting grounds and mining camps. Native Americans held celebrations here, and later ranchers grazed their cattle during winter. Je?erson County now preserves and manages the land for elk habitat and human recreation.
