This trail winds southward along a riparian corridor and is highlighted by self-guided interpretive displays. The area offers seasonal viewings of the bobolink, for which the first portion of the trail was named, and other ground nesting birds. Although an urban hike, this trail is a peaceful outing with plenty of wildlife, history, and beauty. This area is popular with people using wheelchairs, especially sport-equipped chairs. There are no restroom facilities. Bikes are allowed on the initial part of the trail that is paved.
