This hike takes place in the gorgeous Winter Park–Fraser Valley area. With high-alpine views and densely walled stands of lodgepole pine nestled below the Vasquez and Byers Peak Wilderness Areas, this is a perfect place to strap on snowshoes for some winter fun. Located between Interstate 70 and Rocky Mountain National Park, the Fraser Valley is made to order for outdoor lovers, and this trail is one of its highlights. If you are looking for solitude and an opportunity to break some fresh snow, plan on making the Deadhorse Creek Loop one of your destinations.
