This hike takes us over to the verdant west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail begins in the massive Kawuneeche Valley, separating the high peaks of the Continental Divide and the Never Summer Wilderness. The trail leads through thick pine forests flecked with wildflowers and boulders. A northern stretch along the Long Meadows area affords dazzling views of the Divide, and there is a long descent through handsome forests guided by the enchanting music of a primitive creek.
