A very smooth and scenic run that includes a diverse geological landscape of forests, meadows and streams. Although this route is not meant for the novice runner due to the 2,150 feet of vertical ascent, one can easily turn around at any point and head back to the parking lot. It is an extremely popular route, especially with mountain bikers so be mindful of them. If running this route in the winter, be aware that dogs sometimes cross the frozen stream and can harass runners. Grade: A fabulous running trail with an average angle of ascent of seven degrees. The trail is relatively new, and so is generally smooth.
