This road follows beautiful Lincoln Creek and is surrounded by wilderness. Stay on road at all times. This is a popular mountain biking, hiking and fishing area. Road accesses Historic Lincoln Creek Mining District. Camp in one of 22 designated sites along trail or in two F.S. Campgrounds. Swimming in Lincoln Creek is allowed but very dangerous. ATVs are allowed, but it is absolutely critical to stay on main road at all times. The northern portion of this trail is easy. South of Grizzly Reservoir the trail narrows and gets a bit rockier. The last 0.7 miles before Ruby Mine is rocky, narrow and steep. Suitable for any stock 4x4 with high clearance and low-range gearing.
