Families will find interesting activities to augment fun time in Bozeman or the Gallatin Valley, in the 20 miles of foothills just beyond Bozeman. Between the city and the boundaries of the National Forest and wilderness areas are hot springs, wildlife watching, and the scenic Gallatin River. Settle in to a relaxing soak at Bozeman Hot Springs after traveling or hiking. You can pick your preferred water temperature here, as four indoor pools range in temperature from 90 to 106 degrees F and a fifth pool offers a cooling-off temperature of 59 degrees F. An outside pool runs about 94 degrees F in the summer and 100 degrees F in the winter. If you forget your swimsuit or towel, you can rent them at the hot springs, so there’s no excuse for not going in!
