Some of the prettiest territory in the Rocky Mountain Front lies along the banks of the Teton River. Originating in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, the Teton River flows for nearly 200 river miles (100 air miles) down from the mountains and across the plains. The river eventually joins the Marias River just a few yards from the Marias’s confluence with the Missouri River by Loma. The river has sometimes been called the Rose River for the plentiful wild roses which are seen along its banks. This eTrail provides detailed information on family-friendly things to do. The destinations include: Teton River Float, Eureka Reservoir, West Fork Teton River Campground, North Fork of Teton Trail 107, Cave Mountain Campground and the Middle Fork of Teton River Trail 108, Ear Mountain Outstanding Natural Area and Trail, Mill Falls Campground and Mill Falls Trail, A.B. Guthrie, Jr. Memorial Trail, Egg Mountain, Freezout Lake Wildife Management Area, Fairfield Legion Park and Pool, and Lion's Club City Park.
