The Teller Wildlife Refuge is a private, 1 ,200-acre sanctuary located just north of Corvallis in the Bitterroot Valley. The refuge, established in 1 987 by Otto Teller, is part of a non-profit organization promoting conservation, education, and recreation. The protected land spreads out along three miles of the 84-mile-long Bitterroot River. The area contains timbered river bottom, ponds, streams, wetlands, meadows, upland habitat, and agricultural land. Except for the Teller Trail, access to the main refuge is limited. Contact the office for additional public access information.
