An easy day hike with a moderate climb just before the turn around point. Hike location starts from the Chateau at Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Six active glaciers are observable from a safe distance. The trail to the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers is one of the more heavily used routes within Banff National Park. However, trails become popular with good reason, and this particular hike offers several rewards. The trail wraps around the northern shore of Lake Louise and is paved until it leaves the water’s edge for the gradual ascent toward the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
