The East Fork Boulder Trail begins at the Box Canyon Trailhead at the end of the maintained Boulder Valley road. The trail, an old wagon road, parallels the East Fork Boulder River 9 miles to the Slough Creek Divide, eventually leading to the Slough Creek Campground in Yellowstone National Park (Hike 75). It is also a popular 12-mile route east to the Lake Plateau via the Rainbow Creek Trail.
