This trail is an access route to the lower drainage of the South Fork of Birch Creek. The trail begins by running through the West Fork Teton Cabin complex, then follows the eastern edge of the bottoms of the North Fork of the Teton. The trail follows the “river” northward for the better part of a mile through stands of lodgepole pine dotted with grassy openings. The trail then fords the North Fork again, and the crossing offers fine views of Mount Patrick Gass and Bloody Hill. The path then disappears into a deep lowland forest of spruce, emerging only briefly to cross the gravel bar of Kid Creek.
