An easy day hike or overnighter to a picturesque and accessible forested lake, a great trip for families with small children. Lady of the Lake is an ideal choice for an easy day hike or overnighter with small children. Besides being a short hike, the weather isn’t as critical as it is at the higher elevations. Set off down Trail 31. Unfortunately, you might have to get your feet wet immediately upon starting this trip. The bridge over Fisher Creek washed out years ago, and until late in the year, the stream carries too much water to ford without wading. After Fisher Creek, the trail goes by a small inholding with a cabin then heads down a well-maintained, forest-lined trail to Lady of the Lake. The Forest Service sign says 1 mile to the lake, but it’s probably more like 1.5 miles.
