Five miles SW of Manchester. Two circuits explore the park's woods, wetlands, and history, traveling both woods road and foot trail. Special attractions: Historic mill ruins, ditches, cellar holes, cemetery, and stone walls; azalea; hardwood forest; wetlands; wildlife; fall foliage. Round the gate on the blue-blazed Gay City Trail, hiking the dirt road toward the Youth Group Camp, passing amid tall oak, birch, and maple. At the road fork in 100 feet, the red-blazed Outer Loop heads left. Stay right on the blue trail, passing the youth camp and descending between scenic old-growth maples. Meet the white-blazed Pond Loop before the bridge over the Blackledge River at 0.2 mile, and turn right (upstream).
