Ten miles SE of Storrs. A broad swinging loop travels foot trail and woods road through forest and plantation, exploring Pine Acres Pond and Swamp and visiting Black Spruce Pond. The loop incorporates part of the long-distance Natchaug Trail. Special attractions: Goodwin Conservation Center and arboretum; observation blind; bird and wildlife watching' guided nature walks; rhododendron, laurel, azalea, and pond lily blooms; diverse woods; fall foliage.
