Sloppy Floyd State Park, Pocket Recreation Area, Hidden Creek, Fort Mountain State Park, Lake Conasauga, Woodring Branch, Doll Mountain, Harris Branch, Ridgeway, Lake Blue Ridge, Morganton Point, Amicalola Falls State Park, Frank Gross, Deep Hole, Poteete Creek, Mulky, and Cooper Creek. Located in the northern part of the state, the Mountains Region offers campers plenty of unique opportunities to experience regional mountain terrain and culture. Isolated backwoods, primitive campgrounds, and nicely appointed lakeside campgrounds with all the amenities are available here. Leaf watchers will enjoy the area in fall, and those wishing to escape from the heat of the lower elevations will find relief here in summer. Spring in the north Georgia mountains is an experience unto itself, and winter can be magical.
