One of many access trails to the Strathcona alpine, Marble Meadows Trail begins as a forested climb on the west side of Buttle Lake. Once over the ridge, widespread wildflower meadows and a limestone wonderland featuring disappearing streams, sinkholes, and a series of glacial lakes rewards the hiker and provides access to unlimited ridge routes. Marble Meadows Trail is one of the few official hikes in this section of the park accessible only by boat. Despite the fact that people have been known to hike this trail in three hours one-way, allow yourself more than four hours without overnight gear. If you plan to camp at the top, partway up, or use the meadows as the launch pad for one of the many unofficial routes leaving from this area, allow yourself further time to stop and rehydrate. The trail is made up largely of gradual switchbacks, but the incline is steady and requires pacing. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
