A hike along the scenic Englishman River to the upper and lower falls takes less time than your favorite TV show. Take along your family and a picnic and you might just turn that box in for good. (Though there is always room for movies: That stunning canyon beneath the lower bridge is the one featured in Alaska.) Legend has it that aboriginal peoples discovered the skeleton of a white man on the river near the waterfall. That is why the place is called Englishman River Falls. Englishman River Park is the gem of Errington and boasts a picturesque loop linking two waterfalls. Begin the trail at one of two access points off the parking lot and skirt the falls in half an hour.
