The trail going up Mount Finlayson is a steep rugged trail with gnarled tree root sections and scrambling on rocks followed by 365-degree ocean and mountain vistas. One of the highest peaks near the capital city of Victoria, Mount Finlayson offers a short but steady climb through second-growth Douglas fir, Garry oak, and arbutus forest. In fall many hikers stop by the Goldstream River to admire the glittering bodies of three species of salmon: chum, coho, and chinook. Up to 50,000 salmon return to spawn in this river each year. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
