What begins as a gentle uphill hike turns into a steep switchback trail to reach the basin of Mount Sir Donald and the Vaux Glacier. Well worth the effort, it’s a great hike for a sunny day. The 800-meter route to its base is relentless, but the trip to the basin and the toe of the Vaux Glacier is definitely worth the steep climb (Perley Rock climbs to a higher elevation; it just does it over 2.4 kilometers). currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
