A short hike along Kimpton Creek with views of the Devils Tooth range. The trail is relatively flat for the first 1.5 kilometers before climbing gently to a high point of 1,470 meters. At this point the trail heads northeast and you drop back down into the densely forested valley before running into an end-of-trail sign that stops you quite suddenly. Similar to the Redstreak Creek Trail, this hike runs through a forested valley along a creek. However, you do gain views of the Devils Tooth Range and its many avalanche chutes to your right (south) as you hike through the shaded banks of Kimpton Creek. We spotted our first black bear of the season on this trail and watched him momentarily as he dug for berries in one of the four avalanche chutes we passed by; he was at least 200 meters away from us. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
