This premier hike passes one of the highest waterfalls in the country before you reach a 30-kilometer trail that traverses beneath the Rockwall’s extraordinary 53-kilometer-long limestone cliffs and hanging glaciers. You’ll climb three alpine passes and through wildflower meadows to reach the breathtaking Floe Lake before you complete this 4-to 5-day journey. Get ready for the most stunning scenery in Kootenay National Park. You’ll hike through the trees a bit to reach the alpine meadows, crystal-clear glacial lakes, and towering limestone cliffs that everyone raves about, but you won’t be disappointed. Be prepared for crowds though; this is one of the most popular backcountry hikes in the area—especially during late July and August. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
