A short, steep climb to the lookout on Paget Peak. This trail, while steep, is certainly worth the climb, particularly early in the season when other high-elevation hikes are still beneath 1.5 meters of snow. Once you reach Paget Lookout, you’ll gain panoramic views of the Kicking Horse Pass and its valley, as well as Cataract Valley and the Bow Valley and Slate Range in Banff National Park. If it’s windy, the shelter offers a warm respite from the cold; it’s even more enjoyable if you remembered to bring a thermos of hot chocolate. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
