No, this doesn’t involve an expedition to the Himalayas—a short voyage on a ferry will suffice if you live in the Vancouver area. K2 is the local name for Knob Number Two; Number One or Old Knob is Soames Hill. Although the views from the second may cost more in time and effort than those from the first, the walk itself is full of variety and very worthwhile. To reach the beginning from the traffic lights at the ferry exit, drive uphill on Highway 101 to the next intersection and go right on Stewart Road to park at the T-junction just beyond the power line. From here, walk right to find the beginning of the trail in thick bush on the left at the top of a small rise. Once embarked you find a multitude of coloured markers, the white and orange (Walk 106) heading off left after a few minutes. Ignoring all distractions, however, you cleave to the blue and pink as you rise steadily, eventually arriving on the verge of the Langdale Creek ravine above a pretty little waterfall.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
