This hike is in the Whistler Interpretive Forest, the second of three demonstration forests in the Squamish Forest District, created in a previously logged-over area to introduce outdoor recreationists to a young regenerating forest being managed for multiple resource use. Here, for the walker, there are many possibilities—some exclusive to pedestrians, others to be shared with bikers—the guide to the forest presenting a daunting array of choices, far more than suffice for one day’s outing. The following description, therefore, samples only part of the forest’s potential: a bit of riverside, a lake, the rim of an extinct volcano and a forested ridge to whet the appetite for further explorations on your own. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
