What title do you give a walk that embraces sections of no fewer than five trails in Golden Ears Provincial Park: Spirea, Bog, Lookout, Menzies and Loop? Our suggestion, as above, takes account of the fact that part of the route is on the lower slopes of Alouette Mountain, that it provides a circuit and that much of it is a self-guiding nature trail, the placards increasing your knowledge of forest lore as you walk along. Add to those things interesting stretches of marsh complete with sphagnum moss and skunk cabbage, a seventy-year-old forest of hemlock that restored the tree cover after fire had devastated the valley, a lookout over Alouette Lake and even a picnic table by its shore at the end of your outing, if you so desire.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
