This tract of polder south of Pitt Lake has become even richer in possibilities than before with the creation of a north-south forest walk along its eastern boundary from just south of the lake to a termination level with Koerner Road. This section, a distance of 5.6 km (3.5 mi), rises to as much as 160 m (500 ft) in the process. Not only that, it is furnished with viewing pavilions like miniature Rhine castles that give you views to west and north, supplementing the bird-watching towers on the dykes themselves, which, connected as they are, allow you to enjoy walks of varied length.
