Of the hikes in the high divide area of Highway 5, this one is, for now at least, one of the most appealing. Not only is the bush light but the grade is generally gentle, although you do have to lose some height to get from one prong of the double summit to the other. The picturesque name of the peak owes its origins to a British Columbia mountaineer who named the mountains of this area after animals indigenous to the alpine regions of central Asia. Zoa is a member of the yak family.
