As you drive north on the Coquihalla Highway towards Merritt, there is an obvious high rounded double summit off to the west: this is Stoyoma Mountain, the highest peak between the Fraser Canyon and the Coquihalla. It is an area of high meadows and lakes with a resident goat population. The route starts from just above Cabin Lake, a beautiful pocket of water with a finger of land on which stood an old log cabin. As you ascend Stoyoma, the conspicuous double peak to the west is the rarely visited Mount Hewitt Bostock. To the south are the striking summits of the Coquihalla–Anderson River area. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
