This prominent ridge and its peak are immediately to the north of Mount Harvey. The connection is not just geographical, HMS Brunswick was the ship commanded by Capt. John Harvey, a British naval officer of the eighteenth century. It is the highest peak in the area, and therefore has commanding views in all directions. The Howe Sound Crest Trail traverses the slopes west of Brunswick Mountain’s summit. You therefore cross it on your ascent. The last 100 m (325 ft) are steep, open and rocky. If there is snow or ice on the ground, be extremely cautious!
