Although it makes a popular hike for a warm day because it winds through shady woods, the trail to Petgill Lake is also suited to winter walking, since its high point is only 760 m (2500 ft) above sea level. This pleasant little lake is in a bowl, so to widen the aspect there is a short trail past the lake to a viewpoint looking out over Howe Sound. If you desire some extra challenge, the trail to Goat Ridge gives you a much more strenuous hike, adding another 990 m (3240 ft) of climbing on a route that is sketchy here and there. On the ridge are attractive meadows and ponds and a close-up view of Sky Pilot Mountain, while Mount Garibaldi and Mamquam Mountain fill in the scene to the north and northeast. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
