This is the southern section of Western Canada Wilderness Committee’s 22 km (14 mi) Elaho to Meager Hiking Trail in the proposed Stoltmann National Park. It is an area of controversy. Interfor has cutting rights and wishes to exercise them. Environmentalists wish to preserve the largest remaining valley-bottom temperate rainforest in southwestern British Columbia. Described here is the trail past Blueberry Falls to Canyon Camp, including the Douglas-fir Loop Trail. The loop takes you through a stand of more than fifty huge old growth trees; if they have not been felled before you get there! You could just hike the loop, but the canyon of the Elaho River is a wild place and its tributary streams are no more tame.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
