The trip to Elfin Lakes and Diamond Head Lodge is probably Garibaldi Provincial Park’s second most popular hike, after Garibaldi Lake. There are beautiful summer meadows with flowers galore, contrasting with the wild glaciers spilling off the east side of Mount Garibaldi. The volcanic landscape flowing east leads to Mamquam Mountain, another riotously glaciated peak. Although the lodge has not provided accommodation for many years, you may still stay overnight in the Elfin Lakes Shelter or in the campground if you wish to spend more than one day in this scenic area. There are then easy trips for those who wish to explore farther: a track continues to The Saddle, lying between The Gargoyles and Columnar Peak, or still farther to Little Diamond Head at the end of Alice Ridge.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
