A pleasant trail through tall spruce and hemlock trees at the base of Mount Alyeska leads to the plunging waters of Winner Creek gorge and is a popular half day hike for Girdwood visitors and residents. A bridge over Winner Creek and a hand-pulled tram over Glacier Creek make it possible to connect with a portion of the restored Iditarod National Historic Trail and walk a loop trip. Watch for moose and bears.
